About CISF Coaching

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was raised in 1969 with modest three battalions to provide integrated security cover to Public Sector Undertakings. In a span of four and half decades, CISF has grown manifold. At present, its strength has reached to one lakh thirty-nine thousand and four hundred personnel.

With globalization and liberalization of Indian economy, it can not remain only PSU centric organization. Instead, it has become a premier multi-skilled security agency of the country, mandated to provide security to major critical infrastructure installations of the country in diverse areas both in public and private sectors.

CISF is currently providing security cover to nuclear installations, space establishments, airports, seaports, power plants, sensitive Government buildings, and even heritage monuments. Among the important responsibilities recently entrusted to the CISF are the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, VIP Security, Disaster Management and establishment of a Formed Police Unit (FPU) of the UN at Haiti.

Age Limit:

Not less than 18 years and not more than 23 years as on 11th January 2018. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 12.01.1995 and not later than 11.01.2000.

The upper age limit is relax-able for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the Central Government orders on the subject as under.

Pay Scale:

Pay Matrix Level-3 Rs. 21,700 – 69,100/- (Pre-revised Pay Band – 1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-) plus usual allowances as admissible to the Central Government employees from time to time.

Educational Qualification:

12th pass with science subject or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/ University. Educational certificates other than State Board/ Central Board should be accompanied with Govt. of India notification declaring that such qualification is equivalent to 12th Class pass with science subject for service under Central Govt.

Physical Standards:

Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard. Weight will be recorded at the time of physical measurements but the decision on fitness. Because weight will be taken at the time of medical examination.

Medical Standard:

(i) Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

(ii) Eye Sight: – The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses. They should possess high colour vision.

(iii) TATTOO: – Being a secular country, the religious sentiments of our countrymen are to be respected and thus, tattoos depicting religious symbol or figures and the name, as followed in Indian Army are to be permitted.

Location: – Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspect of forearm but only left forearm, being non-saluting limb or dorsum of the hands are to be allowed.

Size: -Size must be less than ¼ of that part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.

CISF AC (EXE) LDCE SYLLABUS

Paper I:

General Ability and Intelligence and Professional Skill

PART-A: General Ability and Intelligence: The objective type questions with multiple choices in this paper will broadly cover the following areas:

1. General Mental Ability

The questions will be designed to test the logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude including numerical ability and data interpretation.

2. General Science

The questions will be set to test general awareness, scientific temper, comprehension and appreciation of scientific phenomena of everyday observation including new areas of importance like Information Technology, Biotechnology and Environmental Science.

3. Current Events of National and International Importance:

The questions will test the candidates’ awareness of current events of national and international importance in the broad areas of culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalization, and interplay among nations.

4. General Awareness:

The questions shall aim to test candidates’ general awareness and would inter-alia include question to test basic knowledge of history of India, Indian and World Geography as well as Indian Polity and Economy.

PART-B : Professional Skill

This test will be designed to test professional skills of the candidates in relation to operational and administrative requirement of the Central Industrial Security Force and will broadly cover the following areas:

Paper II :

Essay, Précis Writing and Comprehension

This paper shall test candidates’ ability to bring to fore his/her ideas on the given essay topic, arrange them in a coherent, orderly, concise, understandable and lucid manner ineffective and grammatically correct language free from spelling errors. Further, this shall test candidates’ ability to understand the given passages for précis-writing and comprehension and their skills to summarise the précis passage and reply to the short-answered questions on the comprehension passage.
